Red Bull introduced an innovative motorcycle racing series to the US with the Red Bull Rookies Cup. Designed as a learning series for road-racing youth 12–15, the initiative provided young riders with everything they needed for a 12-race series to improve their talents and progress their careers, including bikes and mechanics, professional coaching and an opportunity to race on the same tracks as their much older AMA motorcycle peers on race weekends.
The challenge was to provide a home-away-from-home for the 150-person group, including the riders and family, staff, mechanics, production crew and Red Bull guests.
The solution was a custom, 4,500-square-foot “Energy Station”: a mobile two-level truss structure complete with dining and lounging areas, gaming stations and more. Three meals per day were provided for each four-day racing weekend by a traveling custom mobile kitchen and catering staff.
Provided management for the entire project, including the design, build-out and packaging of all infrastructure; travel logistics; design, layout, décor and branding of the Energy Station; and creation and management of the catering program.
